I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the States in 2003...when I was on the plane from Amsterdam to Chicago people on the plane (friendly as most Americans are) would ask where I was going to live, Chicago, L.A., New York..?! UM, NO, South Dakota actually...Needless to say, most of them were rather shocked. "Why South Dakota?" Well...it was all because of love. Even though some things have changed I love where I am and don't regret a thing, as whatever I did got me to where I am now...and I love it!!! It took some time to get used to the cold winters, not having the ocean even close and receiving directions by miles and trees (turn left after the first tree within the next mile...yeah, ok!)But I can honestly say that I feel somewhat at home now...I do miss the city and the beach, I miss my dad and his guitar playing, I miss German food and beer, I miss traveling by car (to other countries, not states :)...So, for now I am going to school, hoping to someday be a free-lance Photo Journalist and travel the world. I want to speak 7 languages and meet everyone who crosses my path...and EVENTUALLY, I want to be a mother of three. For now I will enjoy life, my big adventure...
